The heart of the Spirit is a highly efficient yokeless generator that places coils and magnet closely together, thus increasing output and reducing distortion. Double dampers free up the midrange and treble, a revised boron cantilever and stylus tip reduce surface noise and make tracking excellent. Although the Spirit is not inexpensive, it represents outstanding musical value. Perfection has never come cheap.

Each Temper Supreme is lovingly created. The ultra-fine tolerances involved in bringing such misical naturalness into the world requires great skill and time, we feel it is worth it.

Offering virtually identical specifications to the Spirit, many may question its worth. The Esprit has been specially designed for use with low gain tube amplifiers and offers a higher output. This has been achived by greatly increasing the number of coil turns. Although the Esprit's output is high by m-c standards, it's still lower than a typical magnetic cartridge, giving you the best of both worlds. The Esprit is a positive cartridge, its drive and focus are clearly apparent. It projects sound from its ultra low noise floor.
Of course the better the record the better the sound, but special recordings will not be necessary th hear the difference this cartridge will make in your system. The Esprit is clean, sharp, detailed, very solid and totally secure as well as being outstanding in technical terms.
